Electronic Theatre reports on the success of Activision, Infinity Ward, Xbox LIVE and GAME's Game for Good initiative, raising £250,000 for the War Child charity.

Game for Good was an initiative that promised that a donation would be made to the War Child charity in respect to the amount of players logging-on to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox LIVE. Were over 600,000 UK users to log-on to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, a donation will be made to War Child of £150,000. Further to this, an additional £25,000 will be donated for every 100,000 users after that, up to a maximum of £250,000. Electronic Theatre can reveal today that more than 1,000,000 players logged-on over the course of the weekend, coinciding with Xbox LIVE’s Xtival event, achieving the maximum donation of £250,000.
