Valve has just announced that a brand new DLC episode for Left 4 Dead 2, entitled "The Passing," is set for release in early spring. It will introduce both sets of Survivors to each other deep in rural Georgia. Looks to be an exciting download, especially if it's cheap on Xbox Live and...well, free on the PC.

In addition to the augmented single player, multiplayer, and co-op it will offer, “The Passing” also drags with it a new “uncommon common” class of zombie as well as a brand new co-op mode of play that has not yet been disclosed. It will also be paired with brand new arenas for use in the various multiplayer avenues of the game.

Now that's awesome. Wonder how they'll throw in the original four survivors.

    Pro, I love you Valve.

Interesting to see how they'll mix all the survivors, but by the look of the name of the campaign we might just see Bill, Francis, Zoey and Louis dead bodies at some point I might suggest lol.

I do hope this is more than 2 chapters like Crash Course, that was quite irritating. 4 would be the perfect number.

Yes they are. L4D still needs a TF2 item for that whole Crossover thing. TF2 got Bill's Hat. We should get Heavy Weapon Guy's Sandvich as a weapon.

Valves post-release DLC/Update support is impressive. The game rocks. So many improvements (be they little) over the first really tighten the overall experience.

Now use that success and mould it into Half Life 3. Please?
