Valve revealed the last weapons for Demoman and Soldier as their achievements. But first, let's look into the casualties of the war: Soldiers are still ahead but for only 14 000 less deads. Demomen are closing the gap but we still don't know who will win.
The Demoman will receive the Scottish Resistance, a new sticky bomb launcher, that will let you explode the group of bombs you want by looking at them. It's also destroying enemies bombs but it's having less power when it comes to airburst and close combats.
As for the Soldier, he will get a new melee weapon, the Equalizer, and an item for rallying troops, the Buff Banner. The first one is a pickaxe that lets you move faster and hit harder when you're taking damage. The second is a buggle you'll be using when your rage meter is full. For 14 seconds, the teammates that will gather around you will be given mini-crits.
Finally, the achievements are entirely revealed for both classes.
Back when your father and grandfather played Team Fortress 2, being bad at the game was so shameful, they would rage-quit (a lengthy, painful process that involved pulling burning coal from the computer’s furnace). Now, thanks to modern-day updates like these, there’s finally a good excuse. You didn’t misread that sentence: losing is now a strategy.
