Microsoft created an avatar program that mirrors the health of the player using an application system to determine weather your avatar will be fat, skinny, or many other options to make your avatar unique. It's speculated that your avatar being obese or anorexic may be optional.

A recently uncovered patent reveals that Microsoft is considering the idea of avatars whose appearance depends on users' actual health. To put it in the words of the application, Microsoft's "Avatar Individualized by Physical Characteristics is "An avatar generator for a virtual environment [that] reflects a physiological characteristic of the user, injecting a degree of reality into the capabilities or appearance."

Why is this news? So your avatar a little skinnier or a little fatter than you can now, big whoop. Nothing mind blowing here.

It's almost like when Maxis made a huge deal over Sims putting on weight in The Sims 2. It was such a minor feature that they really could have added it in, no mention and no one would have noticed.

Can we have an Avatar who stands up straight then? I don't have an inner ear problem or indeed stand like a camp drag queen.

Maybe Avatars that have different stances? every Avatar uses the "hot/not chick" leaning standing stance.
