GamerSquad takes a closer look at the wealth of genuinely interesting Special Edition extras that will bundled with Grand Theft Auto IV when it finally ships for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

For the tiny sum of just $90 (£45 / €67), buyers of this version of the game will also be treated to a duffel bag, a key chain, an art book, a disc featuring music from the game, and a security lock box. Not a bad price at all, and it’s probably worth mentioning that the same gifts come with both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 incarnations.

Looks cool, admittedly, but it's for $90 not $30, mate.

I think he means $30 extra to the initial cost of GTAIV. I still say its a waste of money. Im happy with the regular version. And besides GTA normally has a listing of music from the game. I can download the songs if i want.

Im not getting this, thats for sure.

And it will be like $100 up here in Canada. Sorry but none of it is going to make me want to get the special edition of the game. I'll just buy the game and that's all.

Gotenks, it would actually be around $100 + Tax...so about $114 or so...That sucks -_-

I doubt I'll get it, not unless I have a good job at that point...I am usually a sucker for Special Editions (thats practically all I get these days), but its a bit pricy...then again, I did get the Growlanser Generations set, and that cost more then this I think...and I havn't even played the 3rd game -_-

Special Editions aren't usually this much more, but it looks nice.

Looks boring to me, I would like a extra disk with commentary for some of the cutscenes and some interviews with the director, artists, animators, testers and designers.

That is a fair bit for a special edition i must admit,
I will just download the soundtrack when it comes out, and buy the game as it is, don't need no other stuff with it.

    Looks good though

£45? That's actually cheaper than the standard game I think.

This happened with Supreme Commander as well, where the special editions were cheaper than the standard game.

I am sorry. This is stupid to me. I wouldn't want a duffel bag, key chain, art book, and music when I am never going to use them. I would just buy the game.

I don't see the point of it. To try and raise sales? It'd make less profeit than the regular addition.

Well I already bought and paid for the Special Edition. I liked the idea of the duffel bag and lock box. I didn't know about the key chain. Now all I have to do is wait. ): Anybody see that episode of South Park where Cartman freezes himself because he can't wait for the Wii? Hmmm...
