Microsoft finally emailed the codes for the Chocobo avatar accessory late last night and if you missed out on the extremely simple registration you'll have one more shot at obtaining one. However, it's going to cost you. People have already been putting up the codes for purchase on eBay with some sellers asking as much as $100.

Did you sign up to get the Final Fantasy XIII Chocobo avatar item from Microsoft? A code should be sitting in your e-mail inbox. Didn’t? Codes are already on eBay.

The chocobo avatar accessory, which Microsoft gave out for free, can cost up to $99.99. Shipping is free! Surprisingly, people are buying these. One code sold for $50.

It was always a matter of time

Why the hell would you bother, you can sign up for a late chocobo, which I'm pretty sure =/= $100.

I actually have an extra code since I have a super secret Silver account I use for privacy purposes. I thought about selling my code but decided to give it away, since I have several friends who didn't get one.

Somebody seriously bought a Chocobo off of eBay for $50? It seems to me that if you're going to be wasteful with your money like that, there are a lot more interesting things to use it on.

    Hookers come to mind.

If this was on the PS3 they'd be going for $500.

All it is is a tiny flying chocobo, is it worth 50 bucks? No. You should have signed up for it when they said so.

The chocobo has no other meaning besides making your Avatar look good.

mine is up on ebay right now. it will probably sell for around $20. I saw that someone bought one for $35 last nite. I havent seen more than that. And i doubt someone is going to pay $100. Hell u can ask for $1000, it doesnt mean your going to get it. The avg selling price as of 1:00pm EST 1/1/10 is $22.38 USD

I don't even buy stuff off the official Avatar Marketplace, I can't believe people would pay anything over double digits for that bird.

      Frankly, it's sad.

yet they do. ppl on eBay are stupid. you know how you could get the Lucky Charm ring for Dragon Age by creating a character in the PC character creator? i sold 20-30 of those for $5 each to ppl and most of them didnt think twice about it!

You can still register for a Chocobo on the UK website:

    http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/games/splash/f/finalfantasyXIII/

    You should hurry up though.

i also never buy anything on the avatar marketplace. i think its stupid to pay for a UAV to fly around my head, check that my avatar head. now if it was free i would want it but im not going to pay for any of it. but i will sign up for all the exclusive downloads everytime major nelson tweets about them, and as soon as i get the code i will sell it. people on ebay will buy just about anything. all u have to do is find the right price to sell it at and its easy money.
