It seemed pretty obvious. I mean why stop developing for the wii? That console is a cashcow.

Now what remains is how high quality will future wii titles by capcom will be. If I remember correctly they even got the RE5 team to work on UC. (and DC I think)

I doubt they'll be doing that again.

Most games on the Wii haven't sold well. UbiSoft, EA and Capcom have all shown their distaste for how little Wii gamers spend on games. The Wii is not the place to make money unless you are Nintendo.

RE4 sold around 2 million and Umbrella Chronicles sold between 1 and 2 mil. If memory serves the Wii version of Okami has better initial reception than the PS2 version did, and I'm pretty sure most of Capcom's other Wii titles did well, particuarly in Japan. Capcom's pretty much the only non-Nintendo developer that can get good sales out of the Wii shovelware-aside.

Tbh they're jumping the gun calling Darkside a flop, considering RE4 and Umbrella also met with mediocre launch sales and picked up later on. I doubt Darkside will meet the success of either, but it's too early to judge tbh.

Cashcow? It's only a cashcow if you release crappy shovelware games which have you waving your arms around insanely with alot of people to make you dance or do other crappy shit.

However if you release games like Capcom and other companies, the games will flop aka Darkside Chronicles.

Just because they have reaffirmed multiplatform commitment does not mean Wii is part of it. Last I checked PS3 and 360 development still counted as being a multiplatform developer.
