Nyko's created its own Wii remote before, but its latest one is bound to turn some heads. Their Wand+ Wii remote has built-in Wii Motion Plus technology. Not only that, it will retail for $40, the cost of a single Wiimote without the Motion Plus add-on.

Nyko does what Ninten-didn't with the introduction of the Nyko Wand+, a Wii remote alternative with Motion Plus support built right in.

Debuting today at CES in Las Vegas, the Nyko Wand+ features Full Motion Technology, offering the same 1:1 movement tracking capability as the regular Nintendo remote with the Wii Motion Plus add-on attached. In the official announcement, Nyko takes a subtle swipe at Nintendo for not creating an all-in-one controller of its own.

When a third party makes a better product than the first party, you have a major problem

Its probably a piece of crap that doesn't work, like half the sensor bars on the market NOT made by nintendo.

I'll have to agree with Captain Bandito, I haven't had a problem at all with any of Nyko's stuff.

As for other third party stuff, just do the research on it. If it gets bad reviews, don't buy it.

Indeed. Nyko produce some pretty damn good stuff for a third-party.

It's Madcatz that makes the pieces of shit, not Nyko.

OOOH. and Pelican. It was MAdcatz who makes crappy hardware.

I hate having to find 4 Double A's every hour just to use the wii's sensor bar. Nintendo doesn't sell their sensor bars at stores here in florida anymore. Only 3rd party sensor bars that run on battery.

LOOKS *bleep*ing shitty and cheap though, no matter how good it is...

Thats mainly because Nyko would have had to make all these design choices so it's not a complete design rip of the original Wiimote.

Why doesn't Nintendo just make a Motion Plus Wiimote along with an add-on for older Wiimotes? How hard could it be if a 3rd party developer could do it? Come on Nintendo!

I just bought my Nyko Wand now I want the Nyko+ I'll admit it doesn't look as good as the Regular Wii Mote, but if I'm saving $25, I'll get it.
