Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg sure is ambitious about Project Natal. He recently told Joystiq that Microsoft are hoping there will be "millions of Natals in consumer's homes this holiday."

Discussing specifics of the company's forthcoming Project Natal, Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg told Joystiq, "We think that there will be millions of Natals in consumer's homes this holiday." To put that number into context, Microsoft sold 2.3m Xbox 360 consoles and Nintendo sold 1.7m copies of Wii Fit with bundled Balance Board in the US during the months of November and December, 2008.

      lol u know nothing.

      *twitches mustache*

Natal is supposedly gonna be cheaper then everyone thinks, and judging by the fact its optional, it may or may not do well. But, since it is the most favorited console so far, EVERYONE's gonna pick it up. Sold out everywhere I bet, like the goddamn wii fit, but hopefully not as dull.

PS3 wand better be kickass if it wants to compete this holiday season.

You are clearly an intellect and a scholar, AND I LIKE TO SPEAK OBNOXIOUSLY TOO LOLOL CAPSWIN.

How long has it been out? How much money has it made? How popular is it amongst gamers? Yeah, it's clearly failed, hasn't it... oh no, that's you.

That doesn't change the fact that Natal's a load of shit though, and that wand.

Why does Kave En keep changing his name? =[

and your right their, both Natal and the Wand are a complete waste of time and shouldn't have even been considered =/

He probably tries to get everyont to think it's someone other than him.Hell until you mentioned it was Kave En I thought it was some new tosser fanboy.

Only complete and utterly oblivious, ignorant morons still use the same old tired crap such as the 360's previous MAJOR problem or the PS3's lack of decent games.

But that's what fanoys do, they use the same old crap over and over again and are too dumb to come up with new ways to bash a console.

DON'T YOU TALK SHIT ABOUT DREAMCAST.

A few million units... that's a pretty impressive number... not impossible, but definitely a hard number to meet. I expect to see advertisements everywhere for it

I really don't want the PS3 or the 360 motion controllers. Using motion controllers for one console is alright. I sure as hell don't feel like using it for EVERY console.

Millions? I know a large amount that are avoiding it...if at least for this holiday.

    Meh, seems unnecessary to me.

I just don't see the appeal of games that make me work at them, there's a reason I don't have a bloody Wii.

I still don't understand what's so innovative about it. They're acting like it's the newest thing since sliced bread, yet we've had this kind of thing since the PS2 EyeToy, except this has a little more motion recognition.

And if the EyeToy never really took off, neither will this. And if it does, it'll only be because users were sucked into the hype.

I can see the wand working if Sony get some good support going for it. Natal I just can't think of any good use for, except possibly in dance games, although a dance mat would probably work better tbh.

ok both Natal and the PS3 wand are pieces of shit and neither one will really take off as well as hoped. everyone that wants motion controls has already got a Wii and do not want a serious gaming system. the only ones that will buy Natal or the Wand are die hard fans of the respective console, someone with plenty of money, or someone that just wants to try it out, which will make up about 10% of the serious (non Wii) gaming community.

whether you are holding a control device or just using your body, motion controls suck ass. period.

so i guess youll be among the 10% of dumbasses who purchase a worthless piece of plastic that looks like a dildo in hopes it will make playing PS3 games better when in fact it wont.

    quote marxy07
the natal is a POS just like the console, and yes i own a 360 and i haven't played it in 3 months cuz of great games on the ps3.

    1. natal is said that it ain't as accurate as it should be the PS3 Gem or Wand (w/e you want to call it) is far more accurate, watch videos for proof

    2. everyone keeps saying sony copies off M$ all the time.... excuse me!!!!! they don't need to copy off M$, sure they got a thing or two like trophies but thats part of business, last i checked..... M$ is the one that is trying to be a lot like sony is some ways considering they are the ones that is known for being the best in the industry. anyway, here's where im getting at, everyone thinks natal is all new tech but ps2 already had something like that, called the EYE TOY in case you retards forgot. does just about everything natal can do just ain't as good and accurate considering its far older technology. it didn't do so good cuz sony didn't really do much with it, hardly any games... no advertising... no nothing

Google Translator has provided the following:

    Sony Fanboy.
