Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Becomes Third Best-Selling Game in UK History

A report on the announcement that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has become the UK's third best-selling videogame release in history, claiming it's ninth top-spot in the UK charts in as many weeks.

It has been revealed today that with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 claiming it’s ninth chart-topping week, Activision and Infinity Ward’s hugely popular First-Person Shooter (FPS) has become the third biggest selling videogame release ever in UK history. Only Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training: How Old Is Your Brain? can claim to have sold more units in the UK, despite Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 having only been on sale for nine weeks.

      Brain Training is the best selling game ever in the UK - and that's not including the secondone or pc spin-offs or anything.

    I'm surprised by Brain Training, I assumed Wii Fit or something would be at the #1 spot. Actually San Andreas surprises me quite a bit as well, I figured it'd be top 10 but not second.

    Since San Andreas is the best violent game ever burned to disc IMO, I'm glad to hear it was so high in total sales.
