Many gamers and critics have been complaining about the scenario campaign that features in Tekken 6. The poor visuals and tough controls makes it a struggle to play, but Namco are hoping online co-op will atone for these problems.

A patch will be available soon, allowing two players to tackle the scenario campaign via online play. Not only will you be able to trade in your AI partner for an independent sidekick, but voice chat will also be available. Lastly, Mokujin’s fighting style will change with every round. As those who have already played Tekken 6 will know, this update is exactly what the game needs to crawl out of critic's bad books.

That's great and all...but why does it have to be online play? I'm sure local co-op would work just as well if not easier.

I await for Army of Two esque "waiting for other player" screens everytime you initiate a move or a cutscene. Those screens really kill the immersive nature of playing with a friend.

I'm not complaining, as long as I don't have to play it by myself XD
