Another day, another delay. With Ubisoft brandishing its exclusive/ multiplatform line-up, one game was M.I.A. When questioned, Ubisoft states that the game is being pushed into the fiscal 2011 slot.

Recently Ubisoft confirmed that their upcoming survival-adventure title, I Am Alive, will not be launching during the company's 2010-2011 fiscal year. It's not the first time the game has been delayed, due to the team " totally re-engineering the product" -- as well as the shift of management into the hands of Ubisoft's internal Shanghai studio.

However, Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemont says I Am Alive is still on its way and will harness the same engine that is powering Splinter Cell: Conviction.

This to me was no real surprise, the CG trailer they showed off to start with really makes me think this will be like Killzone 2. UbiSoft are trying so hard to match that trailer, which is why we still haven't seen much in-game from it. Ah well 2010 has a strong line up we do need things for 2011.

Killzone 2 originally showed off an unachievable CGI trailer. A trailer that pretty much dominated their strategy, so much so they delayed numerous times to make sure the in-game graphics were pretty much identical to the trailer. I Am Alive showed off an unachievable CGI trailer.. See where I am going with this? This games first impression was of an fluid, realistic looking world with action and survival. Personally I know that the majority of the gaming community want a game that atleast comes close to that vision, UbiSoft would know this aswell. To me it seems the most plausible explanation for such an extreme delay, I mean the fiscal business year 2011 ends in March/April 2012.. That means they have almost 2 years from now to release this thing.
