I had no doubt it would pass and just like I had VERY little doubt Heavy Rain would be banned, I was right.

As much as I do believe the ratings board is inconsistent, I can usually understand why a game that has been banned has done so.Like Alien Vs Predator, even though I'm glad I can play it unedited, just from one pic I could see why it was originally banned as imo it SHOULDN'T be played by people under the age of 18.But I blame the lack of an 18+ rating so I have nothing against it being rated 15+.

And yet L4D2 couldn't make it in all it's glory there. How lame. -_-

I think it was smart on behalf of Santa Monica to give the mindless gore in God of War 3 a purpose. Like the gods head as a lantern, it makes it hard for a ratings board to question the implementation of the violence when it has a gameplay use later on.

Well good for you guys. Glad to hear they aren't gonna slam it because its too gory (and it is). A little surprising considering they've banned for less, but I guess they took into account that its probably the most anticipated game of the year. If they banned it...hoooo, I wouldn't want to be them.

I'm thinking money from Sony might be involved more than anything else.

Not only does the series have more gore than any other game they've banned, they have bare breasts and sex minigames in every installment. That's one hell of an inconsistency in their decision making.

Well they were fine with sex in Farenheit/Indigo Prophecy and Playboy the Mansion. It wasn't just a once or twice in a game thing in PBTM either.Sex in PBTM was a very big part of PBTM if you chose it to be.Though sex in PBTM was more dry humping than sex.

More gore than any game that's ever been banned? I think not.I personally think the gore in Manhunt was a lot gorier and disturbing than GOW.I haven't played it but I'm thinking that Soldier of Fortune: Payback would have also been gorier than GOW.

Also they take into account stuff like heavy/harsh screaming during dismemberment and such. Also whether the gore is on humans or creatures or how focused the gore is.

    Damn, I wanted some controversial

I can say for certain, but this seems yet another demonstration of how inconsistent the Rating Board is. I mean surely L4D2 had less gore than the fabled God of War 3, where you rip off a man's head as part of a minigame.
