Castlevania: Lord of Shadow's producer, David Cox, has revealed a handful of details on the game via his Twitter today. It isn't big news, but it's better than nothing ...

Firstly, he mentions that the "PS3 is the lead platform but the game is identical on both formats." This is good news for PS3 owners as it means that we are likely to get an equal or slightly better version of the game. So far, every game that has had the PS3 as a lead platform has looked almost identical on both consoles, the same cannot be said when the 360 has been the lead platform.

He also replied to the following question, "Could we rotate the camera to see the landscape for example, or is the camera always fixed with no control over it?"

David Cox replied, "Camera is fixed. You cannot control it." This means that we are likely to see a very cinematic game, similar to God of War, as it suggests that the game will be able to go into cutscenes seamlessly.

Oh, I hate fixed cameras in action games. Love them in survival horror games (it helps add the the atmosphere, imo), but frickin' hate them in action games. One of my biggest gripes in the DMC games was the goddamn annoying camera.

Still...that's not enough to put me off. I've been waiting for an epic 3D Castlevania for yeeeeears, so here's hoping it delivers.

Old news - wikipedia has had this info listed for a while. Just tossing in there, so far Kojima's involvement has been very minimal, largest toss in so far being to make the hero's face look more 'heroic'. The right stick is relegated to control of the battle cross whippy thing. Music this time is going with spanish instrumentals. Can work really well, though I still say everybody should be using either Bear McCreary, Jesper Kyd, or Yasunori Mitsuda (for your slightly more light-hearted adventures).

PSN needs to release game soundtracks for purchase. Dark Void's soundtrack is going to be epic, and Assassin's Creed 2's is definitely worth a buy.
