Sony has released a press release stating that their motion controller won't release until Fall 2010 worldwide. No exact date is given, but it will not face Natal head-on later this year.

Sony has just revealed that the PlayStation motion controller won't see release until Fall 2010 worldwide. Originally, the motion controller was scheduled to release in Spring 2010, but Sony has now moved back the release date until late 2010. The reasoning behind the delay is simple, they want a greater library of games to be available for the new accessory when it finally releases. Though no titles are mentioned, several titles such as Resident Evil 5 and LittleBigPlanet have been announced to receive patches to allow for some motion controlled gameplay.

/facepalm Resident Evil 5 won't work as a motion control game. Also why are all the gaming companies going with motion control?

How can something be delayed when it was never given a final release date.

Actually, i'd always assumed it was supposed to be released sometime around March? Admittedly, that's not a concrete release date but i'd always thought that for some reason.
