Official US God of War 3 Box Art

Retailers are now posting the official God of War 3 box art for North America. Sporting a nice M rating, God of War 3 will be everything that the previous two entries were but much more.

All major retailers are now putting up the official God of War 3 box art on their sites. Amazon and GameStop have updated their listings with the latest box art, and it's mostly identical to the previous placeholder before it. Rated 'M' for Mature, God of War 3 will likely contain extreme violence, blood, gore, and strong sexual content.

      Yeah but it was only considered a test/prototype box art back then, I guess they're now saying they decided to keep the art this way.

    I would have preferred Kratos ripping off a head or two, but it works I guess.

    Reminds me of the MGS4 boxart actually. Then again, I didn't like that one either.

    The GOW3 boxart ought to involve Kratos standing at the bottom of Mount Olympus looking up at the stormy peak.

      I can't believe you didn't like MGS4's boxart. It is so good. It's all you need. SOLID SNAKE.

    I was kinda hoping it was going to follow tradition - Kratos facing towards some colossal monument holding his bloodied swords. Even from his backside you could tell he was pissed on the GOWII box art. Too bad its this simplistic. I seriously hope this isn't it though.

        Like I said, I was hoping they'd follow tradition, but hey, whatever. Maybe the boxart will be different for the Ultimate Edition...

    Didn't really like it at first, but it's grown on me.
