Who came up with the majority of the Metal Gear Solid series' crazy ideas? According to boss man Hideo Kojima, it was him. In a recent interview with the Official PlayStation Magazine, Kojima admitted that "not so many ideas come from the other staff."

When asked to give a rough percentage of how many ideas came from his team in the making of MGS Peace Walker on PSP, Kojima told the Official PlayStation Magazine: "Well it's strange, but not so many ideas come from the other staff. Co-op Ring, Love Box - the names and the ideas come from myself," said Kojima who, after MGS4, can do no wrong in our loving eyes.

"I am taking charge of the overall game design," he said, with a final stamp of authority. Modest chap, eh?

Sounds a bit pompous, but probably accurate.

I'm sure this is more from a story perspective, not a gameplay one, and when it does concern gameplay it revolves around very specific gameplay elements. When they write a screenplay for a movie they don't get ideas from the cameramen.
