Steam has recently released their top 10 sellers for the week of January 17-23rd, and surprisingly the top sellers are actually Pre-Orders. With Mass Effect 2 being released on the 26th of January and being called by Time.com as "the Avatar of video games — except it's better written", it could hardly be surprising.

However Battlefield Bad Company 2 takes the second spot and has only been available for 2 days out of the 7 possible selling days. Although Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 still ranks in the top 10 (number 4), could Bad Company 2 beat Modern Warfare 2's record breaking sales? and make the Battlefield Franchise the leader in first person shooters?

Plus we can't forget about Bioshock 2, which comes in at number 4. The long awaited sequel to BioShock and now takes the Role Playing Game to new heights with the addition of multiplayer and much more. So it seams, Pre-Orders are taking the charge this week for PC players, especially on Steam.

The Digitial Deluxe Edition of Mass Effect 2 at the number one position for the second consecutive week certainly isn't just an after thought, BioWare's AAA RPG releases this Tuesday.
