Alan Wake has been in development for four years, but it looks like the wait might end up being worth it. According to Microsoft, Remedy has been 'polishing' Alan Wake for months and that the game will "blur the lines" between TV and gaming.

Psychological adventure Alan Wake will be the closest thing that gaming has ever come to a top-notch TV thriller.

That's according to Microsoft, who this week told CVG that the Xbox 360 and PC title would "blur the lines" between TV and gaming - and reiterated that the much-delayed game was on track for a spring release.

Blurring the line sounds interesting, until I think it might mean MGS4 syndrome, hours of non interactive cutscenes D:

Actually 'blurring the line between games and TV/movies' seems to be one of those PR expressions that doesn't usually mean much more than high quality graphics and dialogue. I'm sure I've heard it a few times before too.

"blur the lines between games and TV" is a bad thing though. That's what a lot of people don't recognize.
