Remember that Monolithsoft RPG Monado: Beginning of the World that Nintendo quietly revealed via its E3 press kit last year?

It has resurfaced.

In their third quarter financial results briefing, Nintendo has shown that the phantom RPG with only screenshots and video to its name is still alive, sporting a new name, release date, and teaser site. The game is now known as Xenoblade, and is due for a Spring 2010 Japanese release. Xenoblade will be led by Xenogears and Xenosaga Episode I director Tetsuya Takahashi.

An additional image was unearthed with the announcement, showing two giants fighting one another.
