British woman Lara Roberts has revealed to newsoftheworld.co.uk that she lost 112 pounds with the Wii Fit.
Roberts said she was too embarassed to visit a gym, go out jogging or even have sex with her husband, but after buying a Wii Fit and changing her dietary habits, she went from 252 to 140 pounds in a year. "As far as I'm concerned the Wii Fit saved my life," Roberts said.

She is set to appear on the BBC 3 documentary 'I'm Hotter Than My Daughter' next month.

MUM Lara Roberts has gone from well fat to Wii Fit after losing EIGHT STONE by working out with her games console.

When she tipped the scales at 18 stone, Lara 38, struggled to climb the stairs and was embarrassed to have sex with her husband.

But a punishing fitness regime of an hour a day on her Nintendo Wii has seen her go from a straining size 22 to a slinky size 10 in a year.

A year later she now weighs just nine-and-a-half stone and jokes that pals of her daughter Abigail, 15, fancy her. She is even appearing on BBC 3 documentary I'm Hotter Than My Daughter next month.

Good for her, it's nice when these positive articles pop up. Sounds like the husband will be well happy too.

Well that's good. But working out an hour a day for a year? I think going to the gym would have been far more effective or jogging for an hour too. But I can definitely understand the difficulty of doing that, exercising gets extremely boring unless you're doing it with someone. I guess the WiiFit fixes that problem.

I always saw WiiFit as more of something that replaces physical therapy type stuff more than real exercise. I can do most of the not-yoga stuff in that and I've had two spinal surgeries.

I figured that's the reason why I got any form of strain from the games. But this woman took the whole thing to another level apparently...

And here I thought only us North Americans had the creepiest reality shows! I have to hand it to her, that's an impressive change, so she deserves some kudos.

    That's actually pretty good. I was always interested in Wii Fit but I never bought it and now I can't even find it at Wal-Mart. ;_;

It's probably hidden away in the locked cases against the back, at least at mine it was.

Haha maybe I`ll ask them then. Or I`ll just look at Gamestop or EB Games.

Nintendo should use her for advertising. I just finished watching a wiifit+ commercial (something I haven't seen in awhile). It would be nice if she became a spokesperson.

Now all I need is ab rocket wii and were set!

I thought Wii Fit was more like yoga stuff than working out. Still good for he I guess, would have been way beter working out at a gym though tbh.

and lol'd at the show's title.

The show's title made me laugh...that's good effort on her part. I've only ever turned Wii Fit on three times at most.

Wii Fit was definitely a fad around my area, including my house. My brother bought it, we used it a few times when company came over and it was highly entertaining, but I wouldn't use it for a daily exercise routine. Nothing against the Wii Fit, but as mentioned, there's certainly better ways to get 'fit.'

but after buying a Wii Fit and changing her dietary habits
I WENT FROM EATING FATTY FOODS AND CAKES ALL THE TIME TO EATING HEALTHILY AND NON FATTY FOODS AND GUESS WHAT?!?! I LOST SOME WEIGHT. IT TOTALLY MUST BE THE WII FIT AND NOT MY DIET CHANGES.

I LOST 112 POUNDS IN A YEAR BECAUSE I STARTED MOVING A LITTLE BIT EACH DAY! I USED TO SIT DOWN ALL DAY BUT THEN STARTED STANDING UP EVERY NOW AND THEN AND NOW I'M NOT FAT. IT'S ALL BECAUSE OF THE WII FIT; THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO MOVE MORE OFTEN.

Duh! You it's a correlation-al study. She started playing wii fit and lost weight, therefore Wii Fit makes people lose weight!

You could argue that Wii Fit encourages people to make lifestyle changes though.

True, but if someone needs the name Nintendo slapped on a product which is a lot like other things out there (other things which can be a lot more effective) then we need to burn this world down.

        Srsly.

If you read the article it says when her friend called her fat is what made her act more healthily.

I'm Hotter Than My Daughter; causing teenage insecurity issues and perving over MILFs is now acceptable on the BBC?
