Rumour has it that the creator of .hack and .hack//G.U. series for PS2 are making 2 new games, and looks like one of them will be for the DS. Will the Wi-Fi capability be used to its full extent? We'll wait and see!

"Before developer CyberConnect2 became famous for the PS2 series .hack and .hack//GU, they released Tail Concerto for the PlayStation in 1998. The game was localized by Atlus, but it didn't sell too well. Seems like that's not stopping CyberConnect2 from revisiting the game, though, because they recently posted a link to the game's nine-year-old Japanese website and announced two new game projects. One project doesn't have a platform or any other details yet, but the other will be on the DS."

"The World" is the name of the fictional MMORPG game within the .hack series. However, on the DS, this leads me to wonder how the online features (if any) will translate on the system.

Could be interesting. When I read the title I knew it was about .hack and I love the .hack games.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how the Wi-Fi will be used. The first MMORPG for DS, perhaps?
