It looks like CBS wasn't too happy with EA's Dante's Inferno Super Bowl commercial. The expensive one-minute-and-42-seconds long ad was rejected, not for its depiction of Hell and violent imagery, but for telling the viewers to "Go to Hell" at the end of the commercial.
CBS asked the publishers to change the words to "Hell awaits".

CBS has rejected another Super Bowl ad, this time for telling viewers to "Go to Hell."

The trailer for the epic Electronic Arts' game "Dante's Inferno" contains plenty of scenes of a warrior fighting beasts in the netherworld. But it was the game's widely used marketing tagline that had CBS seeing red.

The commercial will still air, only with the tagline "Hell Awaits" instead.

The verdict follows CBS' controversial decisions to air a pro-life ad from conservative group Focus on the Family during the big game, and to reject an ad from a gay dating site that showed two men making out.

Well I hope EA is smart enough to change it. They'd miss out on one of the biggest times to advertise

Not really a big issue since it was only to do with them saying Go To Hell.

Oops. Missed that part. Smart move though. How could you pass up having a commercial air during the SB?

All major networks are total pansies. Not one of them is willing to take a chance on edgy programming. As evidence: CSI: Whereverx3, Law and Order: Acronym Here, and of course, Reality Whorefest--Now with More Whores! Sex and shooting seem to make up the majority of American television. And if I know one thing it's that sex is boring.

What a terrible choice for a song.

Go To Hell? And they're not allowing a game based on a story where the character actually GOES TO HELL to have that slogan?

    :/
