After resigning from Konami only a couple months ago, news from this week's Weekly Famitsu magazine has shed some light on the whereabouts of Team Silent's former sound director: Akira Yamaoka's living it up with Suda 51 at Grasshopper Manufacture. Among the new employees at GHM is also Kazutoshi Iida, freelance game designer responsible for Aquanaut's Holiday and Doshin the Giant.

Yamaoka will primarily be a composer at GHM, but Suda hopes to tap his abilities to create games in the future. His first project will be the Collaboration of the Forever, the no-details-available Suda x Mikami x Q Entertainment game for Electronic Arts announced two years ago.

Suda x Mikami x Yamaoka -> how scary is that?

Last but not least, Kazutoshi Iida is working on a new project for the Killer 7/No More Heroes developer, which will be unveiled at this year's E3

Akira Yamaoka, veteran game musician and producer of Konami's Silent Hill series since the third installment, made waves early in December when he suddenly left the company he had worked for since 1993. What's he up to now? This week's issue of Famitsu magazine has revealed all -- Yamaoka, alongside freelance Japanese game designer Kazutoshi Iida, has joined Grasshopper Manufacture, creator of offbeat titles like No More Heroes and Killer 7.
