I hope they don't mess with the formula too much.

Just having more Fallout is fine. New areas, quests, and characters are just fine.

From what I hear it's using the exact same engine as 3 and with the original devs going at it the RPG aspect should be a little more pumped, but it's essentially a sequel really. The addition of cars sounded interesting, though I'm not sure whether they'll be in a good way or bad one

I was thinking that too. I can imagine the driving not being much of an issue in first-person but in third-person it would look a bit stale. Maybe if the vehicles drove like the thing from Halo 3 (Warthog or something?) it would work.

It's not just a first/third person issue for me personally, I just think it has the potential to break the game. So like, saying if you need to infiltrate a heavily broken network of buildings filled with muties and get the declaration of independence or whatever, now it could just mean driving through their in some Mad Max tank car, grabbing it and plowing your way out.

I dunno. Maybe I should have more faith in the devs but in my experience other games vehicles have been handled wrong and kind of broken things

          Worked alright in Borderlands.

It's easy to kill things you shouldn't be able to kill in vehicles, but it cripples your experience. You get almost nothing.

The can certainly make it work. As long as they take the time to polish it, just don't throw it in for the sake of having Fallout 3 with vehicles.

I'll be really happy if it's the same engine. That would mean that I don't have to worry about my computer falling behind from Specs.

Because they don't know. You see, they wait until they know instead of planning a date and not sticking to it. Jeeze, what's wrong with life being a little unpredictable? It'll come when it comes. It's better they don't set a release date instead of pushing it back and annoying you that way, no?
