PSN to SEN: Time to rage quit? - DarkFeed

After over 6 years of revolutionizing online gaming, the original XBOX will retire from XBOX Live. On April 15, 2010, all games on the original XBOX will be offline. One of the speculated reasons for the decision was to free XBOX Live from what some games on the original XBOX are preventing from improving, such as expanding the friends list.
I wanted to let you know that on April 15, 2010 Microsoft will discontinue Xbox LIVE service for original Xbox consoles and games, including Xbox 1 games playable on Xbox 360. Our first step in this process will be to turn off auto-renewals for those members who only use Xbox LIVE on a v1 Xbox. While I can't comment on the specifics, this change will allow us to continue evolving the LIVE service with new features and experiences that fully harness the power of Xbox 360 and the Xbox LIVE community. We did not make this decision lightly, but after careful consideration and review we realize that this decision will allow us unprecedented flexibility for future features.

They should just cut online to everything but the top 3 games.
However, I do think that it's real shitty of them for doing that; these people are paying customers to Live, $8 to $5 a month. And assuming that they've been paying since before the launch of 360, that's $200.
Pretty convenient of them doing it around tax-return time as well
THe games can still be played. Just not on XBOX Live. But with a LAN cable you can still use XBConnect.
Oh well, I'll just wait for a Bad Fur Day xbla port (preferably fully uncensored this time) then... *bats eyes at Rare*
Could you imagine if North Korea decided that it would re-join with South Korea and dumped all its Social loyalists? Oh, the humanity.
Just take comfort that this bound to happen sooner or later. X3
Edit: Yes, you can!!!
Wait... I already knew this
Also, along with the two Halo games, Star Wars: Battlefront 2, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, the Rainbow Six games that had multiplayer, and Counter-Strike.
