Remember Shoko Nakagawa? The Japanese singer, model, and TV personality is known for her kooky and strange behaviour (including sucking on cat heads and Sephiroth figurines), as well as her status as one of Japan's biggest geek idols.
Shokotan has appeared in game ads, sung songs for various games, bought an Xbox 360 (enticing many of her avid fans to follow suit, thus creating a temporary boost in 360's sales), then changed her mind and bought a PS3. She also admitted that she wants to marry Final Fantasy VII's Sephiroth.

Now, it has been revealed that a comic/manga series based on her life is currently in the works.

Japanese publisher Kodansha will be launching "Shoko Nakagawa's Story" manga in its Nakayoshi girls' comic. While Nakagawa is a talented manga artist in her own right, it will be drawn by Asumi Hara and most likely not focus on the more trivial matters in her life (we have that covered thankyouverymuch), but the far more serious ones: Grade-school bullying and the death of her father. Nakagawa's father, a Japanese actor and singer, sadly passed away when she was 9 years-old.

For all the adversities in her life, Nakagawa continues to show spirit, humor and geekiness. No wonder Japan wants to go on adventures with her.
