Action gamers who have long waited for the day to challenge other players in fast-paced online, hack-and-slash, shooter-style scenarios need to wait no longer, as Last Online will be arriving in North America later in the year. News about the game's Stateside publishing has surfaced and this means that the MMO genre is about to get a serious facelift.

A very long time ago on a web page far, far away, Blend Games reported on a game that looked and played exactly like Devil May Cry, except it was an MMO. It has now been confirmed by Eden Entertainment that the Devil May Cry-esque action MMORPG, Last Online, will now be arriving on North American shores…but not for the Xbox 360 or PS3.

I least have to give them props for not doing another WoW-wannabe. I'm just curious how they used the proprietary engine to handle the lag...I just can't imagine this game being lag free with hundreds of players shooting and blasting the crap out of each other.
