May I ask where the actual review is? The link just brings up some profile thing, and I can't find the review anywhere.

I've really come to hate reviews nowadays, there normally wrong about alot of things.

I've played the demo and thoroughly enjoyed it, hell i'll be playing it more tonight! Also thats just DEATHMATCH, Hell i can't wait for the other multiplayer modes!

Methinks somebody was upset with their bribe and wanted a tad more.

This reviewer guy knows nothing about the movies or previous games.


He complained about their being too many aliens to fight as a marine.

He also complained that Aliens are "Disorienting" to play as as.

And that Preds only rely on "Stealth" in the campaign.

And he bashed MP mode.

He doesn't know shit, and I'm still buying this.

Has anyone actually read the review? They complain about the fact the Predator is stealthy and the Alien can climb on walls. And they completely avoid any mention of the multiplayer, which is the focus of the game.

Fyi, Gameinformer post their reviews online a few days after the magazine gets shipped. I used this as the source because in the next few days it should be up there. Until then, the scan should suffice.

I would've liked to have heard more about the multiplayer, other than that you can choose which of the three species and that it brings nothing new to the table. I'll probably have to wait for other reviews to get my answers, which is something you never want to do as a reviewer.

Mass Effect 2 aside, 2010's starting out pretty rough for gaming. First with White Knight Chronicles, now with this. Have critics just become cynical or something?

Ah, to hell with reviewers. They trash MAG because it's online only, which some (myself included) consider that a plus. Now, they're trashing this for many (if not all) of the reasons that it APPEALS to me. I LIKE playing as an Alien and climbing all over the place, I LIKE being a Marine and feeling the tension of two other species hunting you down, I LIKE being stealthy and using the cloak and getting weapons as a Predator.

Definitely buying this one. 9/10 in my books and that's just from the Demo.

It's easily 8 or 9, this review based the game on HIS PERSONAL game skill. Your not suppose to base a game on your ability to play. The melee combat is simplistic and easy there light attack which can be block, and there's heavy attack which can not be blocked. Marines can only push an opponent off for a few seconds in order to blast them. It isn't an overly complex thing to get.

The game is awesome btw, it's like three games in one you get the Alien which are more like a freaking race car rogue you run around trying to pick people off (yet they can hold there own in melee with pred), the Marines get a 180 view point and know when anythings coming a 100 ammo clip to blast anything, the Pred are stealth but they don't have to stealth if the odds are even they can leap like crazy and pounce on anyone.

Also the notion that Marines constantly and commonly fight Aliens and Predators is retarded, and a retarded assumption by the reviewer. In Predator 1 they don't start looking up in the trees till near the end of the movie. So what's so special about these marines that they would look up? Let alone see an invisible predator?

This guy is mentally handicapped and Game Informer should fire him for being woefully unskilled at gaming.

To many magazines and websites hire Journalists with NO gaming experience.

The demo doesn't make a great first impression but once you get used to using each of the 3 species and their unique strengths it is great fun to play. I'll be picking this up on day 1.

Wow. That is shocking. Even if there is inherent bias, a 5.75 is so low, you gotta wonder if there are some larger issues that could only be experienced through deeper gameplay. So far from what I hear with all the hands-on playthroughs, and even my own playthrough, the game is a lot of fun.

Dont worry guys he obviously played the xbox 360 version, with that type of resolution i wouldn't have known what was going on on the screen either. PC FOREVER!!

If the multiplayer demo is an indication of how the final product is going to play, then this is quite possibly the worst game this year.

Somebody should actually give credit to the guy who's scans you've stolen. Because this is some pretty shoddy journalism if you can't even give credit to your sources.

Seriously, why do you rampant fan boys bother reading/commenting on reviews. The guys who made the game could say it sucks and you would say "u guis r idi0t m0r0ns, th1s gam3 ruelz lol haxor 2 da m@xor"

I figured this game would suck because Rebellion has yet to put anything short of a steaming pile of crap out since the first 2 AvP games (and the second one wasn't even that great). We are talking about the same Dev group that has made Gems like Shell Shock Vietnam 1 & 2 (metacritic score 50 & 40 respectively) and Rouge Warrior (metacritic score 29).

Didn't the green light go on when they release a demo, people say its not very good and they go, "Oh don't worry, the Demo is a year old!"...Why are you putting out a year old Demo 3 weeks before the game comes out? Does that make ANY SENSE?

Ok. I have never really trusted GI to begin with but WOW this is bad. Too many aliens. It captures the feel of the movie ALIENS! There are supposed to be hordes of aliens. I guess L4D had too many Zombies huh. Complaining about the dark in an alien game is just stupid. LETS MAKE THE GAME BRIGHT! THAT WILL MAKE IT SCAWEEY! He clearly didn't adjust his brightness correctly. Predators rely on stealth? All I have to say it watch the dang movies. They DO RELY ON STEALTH! MArines to weak? ARE YOU KIDDING? They are supposed to be! They are supposed to work in groups. The alien is in no way disorienting aslong as you dont run in circles like a moron. I have played the demo and i expected the game to suck but if you play it CORRECTLY it is awesome. This isn't COD. As a marine, take it slow and watch your back and you should be fine. Preds use ur vision and cloak and youll be fine. Aliens be quick ruthless and sneaky and youll be fine. I am no fanboy and truly expected this game to suck but I love the demo, although TDM would have been a better choice. I prefer the PC version but the graphics are amazing (this coming from a Crysis Vet). This moronic review just bothered me.

WOW!!!!! Ok, this game kicks ass. This reviewer obviously knows dicks from dildos about a good game, let alone a good avp game. He probably has an english degree and never plays games except for his jogb. The predator has to rely on stealth too much? It isn't the master Chief, he doesn't have a sheild, he's INVISIBLE, hence stealth. In predator did he just hop down outta the trees in the middle of Dutch's group and go to town? NO!!!! They woulda blown him to pieces!! He picked them off one by one using stealth and fear. OK, so the alien is disorienting, if you are RETARDED. Ever play descent? The marine is to soft? Lets see u take a predator fist knife to the face or an alien tail to the chest, see how you fare. And he said that you ar in a space fighting off a horde of aliens, which is THE ONLY WAY TO FIGHT OFF A HORDE OF ANYTHING, is with your back to a wall, let alone smart ass aliens who want you to have their babies. I used to like GI, but no longer. If you think the multiplayer sucks, its because u are terrible at visdeo games. The GFX in the demo only support DX9 stuff, so if your are playing on a crapbox then thats is as good as it will get, BUT if you have a good pc you will get DX11 (yes i said 11) AND atis new eyefinity tech. 1.too much aliens? no shit of course theres ganna be to much aliens have u seen any of the movies for 1 marine. i didn't see any problem when ya reviewed dead space
2. stealth is tacky for predator. are u fuking me of course they are stealthy, they do it for honer.
3. aiens to disorienting. u clearly didn't play the first 2 avp games
so down and under its atleast a 8.50, and realy bioshock 2 with a 8.25. u guys really drew the last straw, giving good names sucky ass reviews, bioshock with a 8.25, aliens vs predator with a 5.5, wats next dead space 2 with a 3.75, battle field bad company 2 a 3.5
