EA Sports and their annual Madden Super Bowl Simulation have gone six for seven as they correctly predicted that the New Orleans Saints would top the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLIV.

Everyone else was heavily favoring the experienced Indianapolis Colts against the Super Bowl first-timers, The New Orleans Saints. However, Madden NFL 10 saw through the hype and correctly called the upset. The simulation's score was 35-31, while Super Bowl XLIV ended with a close 31-17 in reality.

Ah, haha, when I heard that Madden had the Saints winning in their simulation, I was pretty sure that they'd be right again. Looks like they were, so we'll have to wait until next superbowl to see if they'll get it wrong for only the second time in eight years.

I'm pretty sure Football Manager and/or FIFA have a similar record with League titles or Champions League trophies. I can't exactly remember. At least it shows that the developers are putting time and effort into getting stats realistic for the gamers.

Out of curiousity, what was the game it failed to predict?
