Rebellion Apologizes for Alien vs Predator demo issues on PC and PS3

Last week's Alien vs Predator demo was one of the most-talked about subjects. However, although the Xbox 360 version had no issues, PS3 and PC owners were out of luck with numerous matchmaking connecting issues. Even worse, it looks like the PS3 issues could be "ongoing."

    Haha, it sucks that I only own a PC and PS3. Ah well, I have other things to do before it eventually gets patched on the PS3 as well (as I'm not much of a PC gamer).

    I didn't know the demo was available on the 360 at the time that I had downloaded the PS3 demo. If I had known otherwise I wouldn't have bothered with the PS3.

    I was able to get into ONE game. Otherwise matchmaking kept sitting there doing shit all. Ugh. Dissapoint.

    Actually matchmaking started working for me today while I was in a group. Dunno if it's consistent.

      That was hilarious. In a way I hope it isn't consistant I know it's odd to want a system to stay broken, but it was tense and so much fun when it was just three players. I admit it was fun completely dominating the opposition when the system worked but it was no longer tense, it was just a bloodbath.

        I agree; all the tension was just lost once the room filled up. With eight players, you're guaranteed to run into someone. With only three, it's more empty, making the dark corners all the more intimidating.

        Just 3 players? I always played with a full game. The weird thing was, on the PS3, it would always ever say that there was just one other guy found, and it would count down to 1 and start over. Then every now and then it would all of a sudden find 7 other players and I'd be in a full game. Every single time it would find me a full game.

        Very strange. I don't think there's any doubt they won't fix this problem. If you think they would let this remain a problem then I wish you had more faith in people.

    They had better fix those PS3 matchmaking issues for the actual game. If they're just going to ignore it... well I won't be happy.
