With the release of the demo and critical praise overflowing the web, Heavy Rain has become Amazon's current #1 bestselling video game.

I have to admit I wasn't too interested in Heavy Rain a few weeks ago, but now I am one of those pre-orderers (from Amazon no less). Way to go Quantic Dream!

Today the embargo lifted on Heavy Rain reviews and across the web, the game received stunning review scores from top gaming sites. Because of the deserving acclaim, Heavy Rain has taken one retailer’s bestseller list by storm…

It seems as though after reading the rave reviews of Quantic Dream’s PS3 exclusive thriller surrounding the Origami Killer, it may have pushed gamers to go ahead and pre-order the upcoming game, thrusting it to the top of Amazon.com’s bestsellers list.

I am happy for the team at Quantic Dream. This was always going to be a hard sell and at best was going to be a niche title that sold 200,000 copies worldwide at best. Now it's shaping up to be a PS3 best seller.

You only need to say 'at best' once within the sentence.

      Jus' saying.

I wish I could get the Origami dlc for pre-ordering but it's a HMV exclusive and I'm not going to pay £43 for it, that's insane.

I really don't understand why Metacritic uses 90 as the number for critical acclaim. It ought to be 85 or something around there.

The way I see it, 80-85 is like the '3 and a half stars' of movie reviews. Good films, but not ones you can call truly great.

Well they need to factor in fanboys and people who use the silly modern ratings system (where if something is 70/100 it's abysmal) I guess.
