Informed one of my friends about it, hopefully he can get it (if he doesn't already have it) in time.
I love promotions
If you do not live in the US, make a US account, it's easy.
I think this is the single most well known game on the PSN.
Next biggest contenders would be maybe Pixeljunk (series) or possibly Fat Princess?
PSN games available on disk (Warhawk, Burnout) don't count.
Oh, I wouldn't say any single one is more well known than the others though 'cause I, you know, don't know everything
I already gave a nod to Pixeljunk (it's a series of different games though), and Fat Princess, though maybe Wipeout (good game) and Echochrome (meh) should too, but I still believe FlOw is overall, the best well known.
I've only heard the name Trine, have no idea what it is about, but mention FlOw to any group of PS3 users, and they'll probably know what it is. Doubly so since it was originally a FLASH game on the Web, so it has that following to improve its recognition in wider circles.
PS1 games don't count, they're not PSN developed games, just ports. Even so, most of those aren't as well known as many of the PSN games mentioned anyway.
I don't think we'll agree on the most well known PSN game though, we'd need some sort of official statistic to confirm which one it is.
Official statistics are usually bullshit anyway.
It doesn't matter which one is more overall best known, it will still change in different communities and groups. So you can joke about Kuhn living under a rock for not hearing about it but there are many other people who he knows or who are like him who haven't heard of it too, with good reason too, because it's plain, simple and boring. It's like arguing about the best known footballer. Sure, in Britain and America it's probably Beckham but head to Brazil or Spain and there are people who haven't even heard of him. Not many, mind, but you can't exactly think of them as out of the loop for not knowing of something they have no reason to care about in the first place.
True, I was going to say Pain may suck, but that doesn't mean it isn't well known, but meh.
Again, true, but 'total number of DLs' should be indicative of popularity, though it is biased against newer games.
This is indeed a pointless argument (or debate, if you will), but I don't think either of us enjoy not having the last word XD
But hell, if it adds more grep points for the competition I'm sure we can both live with that as well, right
But I'm nowhere near enough for the 200 points needed to get some prize >_>
Maybe I'll do a mad rush in the last week or so, and try to get em then.
I also don't know how but I already passed the 200 mark as far as I'm aware; it's one of the perks of talking rubbish
I've only got like 70 or something now >_>
How do you check?
Well ain't that just obvious
Cheers for the info.
