Final Fantasy Versus XIII Unlikely for E3

In the latest issue of Famitsu, there was a brief interview with Tetsuya Nomura. During the interview, there is a small segment about Final Fantasy Versus XIII and, unfortunately, it doesn't look like the game will be making a presence at E3 this year.

Square Enix keeps pumping out games but the one that everyone is waiting on looks to be missing E3 again. It's looking unlikely that Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be shown at E3 2010 because of a minor change.

    God, Squeenix *bleep* us fans around.

    Why bother even announcing the game if you're going to take years to release any substantial info about it?

      They were announcing that the game may have possible announcements in the near and/or distant future.

    This is getting ridiculous, 4 YEARS, give us something already. I know that you have something ready, show us something at E3! There is absolutely no reason to not show anything, FFXIII will be out and the hype will be for the next FF game!

      You must realize how little development the game has had. Remember that back in mid-2009, they said they had privately showed some conceptual gamplay that was barely complete; most of the beasts had no textures.

      The fact it's been 4 years means nothing. In terms of how much is actually done, they may just as well have only been working on for one year.

        Didn't they say a loooong time ago that the game was something like 40% complete?

        Or am I thinking of another game?

        Either way, Squeenix revealed a gameplay trailer in the "secret theater" months ago, and still haven't released it to the public. Wouldn't hurt them to at least show that at E3.

    Never expected anything for E3. Considering how much they've pumped into FFXIII, they want it to remain in the public eye as long as possible.

    I liked the idea they had for a simultaneous with FFXIII release a long time ago.

    this game will most likely come out when the PS4 and Xbox 720 are released. haha

      If that happens they'll have to start all over again.

      The one and only reason I see is obvious.
      They didn't do jack with Versus because their to busy doing the other 7+ games they announced.
