Tim Ingham reports on the next person trying to get into the scene for criticising video games. This time, it's a lady by the name of Dr. Linda Papadopoulos. Is she taking things too seriously, or does she have a point and children are now subject to great trauma at the hands of video games?

Big Brother psychologist Dr. Linda Papadopoulos has laid some of the blame for the 'sexualisation' of children at the door of video games.

The story was followed up by The Telegraph this morning, which printed: 'Children are being sexualised from an increasingly early age by computer games, pornography and sex-related slogans, a government report will warn.'

Yes because Television has WAY less sexual content than video games.

I agree. As I said, I think it's just another person jumping on the bandwagon to look like part of the "intelligent crowd" pointing out "vital issues" in the world of video games. They mention magazines, which is obviously a lot more influential in early experiences if you ask me (local news agency has them everywhere right near the door).

And single episode of Two and a Half Men has more sexual content than every game released last year

note: Bayonetta wasn't released till January this year

I find more sexualization in the name Papadopoulos than I do gaming.

I also find it hilarious that people still complain that sexuality in games is terrible and try to stop kids from gaming because of it, and then unwittingly let them just go and look at internet porn anyway.

Someone should introduce this complicated woman to Katie 'Jordan' Price/Reid/Andre and then make her watch the BBC documentary "Are we growing up to fast" where is shows an 11 year old in a sexual relationship with a 16 year old. Guess what? She doesn't play videogames. She just happens to think Jordan is cool...

All of the high schoolers in my school say the F word, and mostly talk about sex at every opportunity.

Goddammit I don't want to here the children of the future talking like that

I don't know a game that shows sex, but Dante's Inferno has a lot of nudity, with tentacles that attack you from womans lady parts.

But it's rated like that for a reason.

Yes, but that wasn't in the Dante's Inferno book.
Plus I had to play the game infront of my parents, and I'm 15...so ...

Most of the game wasn't in the actual book, so that's redundant.

          Jus' saying.
