Way to be arrogant, fanboy. Katamari is one of the most brilliant games ever made. It is in no way a kid's game. You've totally never played the game.
In addition, if it was "one of the most brilliant games ever made", why did the market suck so bad for it? Nobody bought it and it made absolutely zero cash in the United States, Canada, and Europe. The only reason they made a sequel is because it did somewhat good in the Japanese market, which doesn't even apply here because their market is so different. If it was such an amazing game, it would've made more money.
You lose. I assure you as an adult gamer, the Katamari games are highly enjoyable and challenging, and at a particular point, frustrating. Come back to me when you've rolled up a CowBear.
I love your comment from before, you're sooo mature.
The game sells so badly, that's why PS3 is dropping it. I don't know what the hell the 360 is still in for, but I'll at least give you that it would be pretty fun on the Wii.
And it's being dropped from the PS3 because the devs claim it was too hard to port from the 360. Oops.
A Pac-Man remake for Playstation got extremely low scores everywhere. Yet it sold over 3 million copies. Why? Because it's Pac-Man. It's definitely a household name. Katamari isn't due to its abstractness and its link more towards the Japanese culture rather than America, Canada, and Europe.
A sequel can be made by its high fanbase, not just from the money. Not all developers care about money. If that were the case, every single Mario, Halo, and God of War games would come out like complete shit.
Katamari didn't sell good here because most American, Canadian, and European gamers just found it ridiculous (whether they were right or wrong is entirely your own opinion).
Though I do applaud you for a well-written response.
Well, on the bright side, they might just get the katamari on the PS3 later and beef it up with extra features. No worries.
