The wait is almost over. And as we get closer we just keep getting small bits of information on Killzone. This time we find out that it will only be shown to a select few journalist. Which makes you think, why?. maybe they will not invite critical journalists.

The location: Santa Monica at E3. The date: the evening of July 10. This is when Killzone 2 will be showcased to an extremely select group of journalists in a presentation which PlayStation hopes will mirror the impact of Killzone at E3 in 2005.

Smart move, they don't want the whole thing full of journalists... Gamespot and IGN will be thereand a few others but they also sent invites out to normal members of the public aswell as developers... The arena in Santa Monica is not as big as in LA they can't just fill the conference hall with journalists and still have a hundred seats for the other people.

I just hope the Halo 3 release doesn't shutout Killzone 2. It would be a shame to see such an amazing game die out quickly just because an equally amazing game with more popularity is released at the same time.

      Halo 3 = October
      Killzone 2 = September

They have a whole month headstart, and Killzone 2 is very anticipated as much so as Halo 3 in my opinion.

Halo 3 isn't amazing, and Killzone 1 wasn't either so why play either?

If Halo isn't amazing, why have millions of copies been sold? The Xbox Live Halo community just keeps growing and growing. The Halo series is being held up on the gaming society's shoulders as one of the greatest FPS's of all-time. If the game sucked, why would people keep buying it?

Killzone was pretty good too, it's just that the FPS community for PS2 is much smaller than Xbox. Killzone wasn't advertised as much, either, so the hype wasn't as big but the game was amazing nevertheless.

Don't waste time replying to the biggest hypocritical fanboy here. But yea as if we should take your word on that halo has more pre-orders than most and kill zone 1 is awesome. Please just shut up. Kilzone seems to get more hype this time though.

Yeah, Killzone is dubbed the Halo-Killer. At least, it was the first game that was called that back then. I did enjoy it more than Halo, to be honest...never liked Halo. Anyways, it's good to just have a handful of journalists to look into this game, they can give a better understanding of what's to come.

Just 5 days to go, I can't wait!

This has been long overdue since they have barely released any information in over a year

The first killzone was dubbed halo killer.

No I didn't say anything about this one not killing halo. That was people said about the first one. But after seeing what Halo 3 looks like, I have no doubt on my mind that Killzone 2 will blow away halo 3.
