If you haven't heard, Acitivision fired to upper ups at Infinity Ward by using a bouncer to force them out of the office. It was done because Infinity Ward wanted to do other plans besides COD and this upset Acitivision, greatly. So the solution was to fire the head honchos but this move just made many people backlash at Activision. Here some of the responses from other video game developers.

"Man. The goings on at Infinity Ward is just nuts."
-- Dave Feltham, Senior Designer, BioWare

"IW falling apart? Way to go Activision, you just shot your cash cow. Dumbasses. Respect for those at IW if true."
-- Alan Kertz, Sr. Designer on Battlefield Bad Company 2

"If anyone from Infinity Ward reads this, hang in there. This is nuts."
-- Casey Malone, Designer at Harmonix

"Infinity Ward drama = scary/sad. What's next? Miyamoto leaving Nintendo?"
-- Ed Boon, Co-Creator of Mortal Kombat

I think it was Jeff Gertsmann who said he's now waiting for the ex-IW folks to form their own studio and make an amazing FPS.

I liked Alan Kertz' comment: "IW falling apart? Way to go Activision, you just shot your cash cow. Dumbasses. Respect for those at IW if true."

Pretty sure everyone's been thinking the same thing. One forum poster likened it to shooting your horse once it's won the Kentucky Derby.

Right now, if this is all true, I would *really* LOVE to see Infinity Ward disband and reform into another (new) developer with the original crew(including everyone that got cut by Activision recently), and start a new FPS series/evolve MW into something better. Though I think they'd publish their own games, if that happened. Activision deserves a big fat boycott for all the shit they've been pulling out of their asses lately.

Infinity Ward can quit CoD for all I care, it was getting stale, anyways. At least in my opinion. Modern Warfare can become something better.

Yeah, I'd love to see them form a new studio and go in a new direction as well. I think the COD series is owned by ActiVision anyway so I guess we can all watch as them and Treyarch run it into the ground.

wow, developers are banding together. 'Something good this way comes.'

I really want IW to become independent, or at least the two big shots who left start something themselves.

I really think that developers would rather make something new than keep making the same thing over and over again. especially when given the opportunity like this. I mean seriously. They're artists, and like any artist, they want to do different things, experiment and try to be creative as possible.

Everyone who was left should quit, join up with the ones who were forced out.

Not like we need anymore Call of Duty.

Wow, really, ActiVision? Way to go indeed. This is just as stupid as Itagaki's situation at Tecmo...and again, whilst it's good for IW to possibly become independent, they may not survive with these times, especially since they have their hit title tied to ActiVision now.

This was probably an "ingenious plan" schemed up by Bobby Kotick. We all know the guy's a douche so anything douche related coming from Activision *has* to be from the mastermind himself.

Some people are asking a lot for the whole team to quit. You have to remember that these people have families and cant just sacrifice a job like that. If some dude went to you at work and was like "Oh yeah management sacked our boss, I want you to quit your job as protest, you might get another job after, duno for sure". You will be like "wtf? no I have a family and children" Even if they do start up a new company they wont be able to hire everyone as they wont have the funding to.

Hope they win the pay lawsuit.

Even if they don't have a family to support they still have their own responsibilities; bills, food, etc. If someone told me that I'd laugh at them and continue on.
