Kind of odd news here that EA Sports Active 2.0 is not supporting the Xbox 360. There was a job listing a few weeks back for EA where someone listed work on both the PS3 and the Xbox 360. EA Sports Active 2.0 doesn't appear to support the Wii or PS3 motion control so why would the skip out on the 360?

The EA Sports Active franchise has been a money maker for EA Sports. Since it debuted in May of 2009, it has raked in over $125 million and that is just for the Wii. So, it makes sense that EA would bring a sequel to the table and expand to other platforms by announcing Wii, Playstation 3 and even iPhone and iPod versions. What is odd though is the lack of Xbox 360 support.

Natal probably requires something different. I do not see why EA of all companies would choose not to expand to every platform like they always do.

EA Sports Active 2.0 comes with its own motion detecting controls. It doesn't use the PS3's motion controls either so it shouldn't require Natal.

Unless of course EA is making a Natal specific version.

It could easily come down to EA not wanting to use Microsoft's patented wireless technology.

I mean originally Guitar Hero peripherals were slightly more expensive on Xbox 360 because of the wireless tech, where as Playstation 3 used a dongle to connect the guitar wirelessly, Microsoft needed their technology in the guitar.

It could easily be a simple case of EA wanting this game to sell at a certain price and the added cost of using the licensed Microsoft tech would make the game cost more for them to make.
