Batman: Arkham Asylum gets a 3D Game of the Year Edition this May

A European version of Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition was confirmed for March earlier but no word on a North American version. Now Eidos has confirmed that the Game of the Year Edition is coming to NA this May.

One of the surprise hits from 2009 was Batman: Arkham Asylum for the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360. The game did what no other superhero game could do before it. It avoided being of terrible quality, surpassed mere competence, and zip-lined its way to excellence. Eidos and Rocksteady Games aren't going to let a good thing go to waste however because the Game of the Year Edition for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 was just confirmed for North America and comes out this May.

      The maps are actually already available via DLC; source article is inaccurate.

    Batman AA does work really well for 3D. I was sitting front row in a 3D demo of Batman on a 30 ft screen -- it was one of the most intense gaming experiences of my long life filled of gaming experiences.
