It seems that news is popping up around the place about new IP's or news related to games that have been sitting on the back-burner for some developers for some time. One of which is Brian Fargo's Hunted: Demo's Forge. Brian discusses the game, and the storyline and background of the game.

Slip over and check it out . . it could be yet another game to add to your wish-list . . which seems to grow with every waking hour these days.

Another new Third-person Co-op Action IP heading to the consoles and PC and will no doubt be making a proper appearance at the upcoming E3 in June (15th – 17th incl). We had news regarding the game slid across our desk this morning that we wanted to share.

Knowing that it is connected with such a remarkable and creative guy such as Brian Fargo, I am holding high hopes for Hunted: Demon’s Forge, if any of his previous games are to go by.

Such as the highly acclaimed Bards Tale, Baldur’s Gate and of course the ‘original’ Fallout. All of which have been excellent games in their own right. Each having their own loyal following that have been with the respective franchise for years.

It seems 2010 and 2011 will be the year of returning franchise, with Deus Ex: Human Revolution also hitting E3 and landing sometime late 2010 or early 2011 as well. Hey, we might even see an long awaited Duke Nuken show his face – yet again? But we won’t hold our breath for that one, nor should we.

One would hope that the Unreal Engine they say the are using, which is getting a little long in the tooth these days, will have had the updated Unreal Engine 4 that Epic Games has been touting for some time used in its place, and has been mentioned recently at DICE this year.

All one can do is hope and pray that it does use a more modern Unreal Engine, or at least a modified one, which many developers seem to be doing these days. Although, there is talk that Epic will make some announcements re Gear Of War 3 and the use of the new engine at E3, but that’s all rumour so far, but I believe it is highly likely.
