Spider-Man is back and swinging into home consoles later this year under the title, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. The name only recently being leaked from an upcoming GamePro magazine, it's currently unknown what platforms the new title will be on, as well as any major details to the game. It's rumored that Radical Entertainment, the company behind Prototype and The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, will be developing Shattered Dimensions for ActiVision.

The newest issue of GamePro magazine teases the upcoming reveal of Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, the newest Spidey title expected to be released this year. No details about what platform the title will appear on are available at this time.

Last summer, Activision CEO Mike Griffith confirmed during a company conference call a new Spider-Man game will be released in 2010. No other details were revealed at that time. Activision hopes this year's title turns the floundering series around for good. CEO Bobby Kotick said in a recent interview the publisher's Spiderman games "have sucked" for the past five years.

Well it's in good hands. Hopefully we'll get another game as good as Spiderman 2 was.

Aw, I rather enjoyed S:WOS! I thought the fighting mechanics involving webbing and how it wasn't limited to fighting either on the ground the majority of the battle, or in the air, was nicely done.

So long as they keep or improve upon those fighting mechanics, I think the game will be very good Hopefully!

Yeah the web-swinging is said to be more involved this time around.

I loved WoS, the combat was so fluent and flat-out amazing. You actually felt like Spidey. Hopefully Radical can imitate Shaba's work.
