Free Final Fantasy XIII DLC Arrives

Electronic Theatre reports on the revelation of the first downloadable content for Final Fantasy XIII, exclusive to Square Enix Members participants that have registered their purchase.

Square Enix has today revealed the first downloadable content (DLC) package for the phenomenally successful Final Fantasy XIII. While a debate has been raging since the game’s Japanese launch last year as to whether Square Enix would capitalise on the opportunity to add new content to what is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games on the current-generation of games consoles, that question has today been answered.

    In case anyone was wondering what the DLC is for the PS3, it's FF Versus XIII.

      Until it gets announced as multiplatform, considering the ammount of money Squeenix have made over FFXIII being multiplat.

        Personally if I where you I wouldn't get my hopes up on that.

        Aside, majority of FFXIII sales where in Japan where it's only PS3 released.

        FFXIII was never actually announced as PS3 exclusive we just assumed such, Versus however has been officially confirmed to be PS3 exclusive. Another key difference is that of the rumour mill, nobody has heard any words of a 360 port and around this time in FFXIIIs development it was announced as multi-platform.

        So if you want versus you're probably going to need a PS3.

          Final Fantasxy XIII was confirmed as a PS3 exclusive when it was announced at E3 2005 - it wasn't til THREE YEARS later that they announced it was comign to 360!

          It was never confirmed PS3, nobody actually said it was JUST on PS3 but it was definetly going to be on it. Versus however, they have actually slotted it as PS3 exclusive and Sony signed to that.

          FFXIII was first CONFIRMED as a PS3 EXCLUSIVE by Squeenix themselves!

          Oh jesus christ FFF I said NOBODY FROM SQUARE ACTUALLY CAME OUT THEMSELVES AND STATED IT WAS PS3 EXCLUSIVE!!!

          Everytime it was said ti was an indirect quote from someone NOT in on the project but yes at the time we all assumed it was a definite PS3 exclusive but Nomura the actual DIRECTOR of Versus HAS COME OUT AND SAID IT OPENLY AND CONFIRMED IT ON SLOTS.

          So no its not check mate. Sorry, but heck if it doesnt turn out exclusive you'll get the last laugh (chuckle)

      How exactly did you come to the conclusion that FvXII, an entirely seperate game, would be coming as an Add-on for FFXIII?
