E3 2007 is less then a week away, and IGN.com is making predictions. They have predictions for Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony, each in their own section. Click over to see the rest of the predictions.

Microsoft:

Revealing Metal Gear Solid 4 Coming to 360
Percentage Chance: 80%

Moore's tattoo will reveal what we've long expected - the next instalment of the Metal Gear Solid saga will launch on 360 alongside the PS3 version. After Kojima's recent comments that the game was able to run on 360 hardware, this would suggest that Kojima Productions is experimenting with the hardware. Why simply experiment? Particularly when this game is certain to be costing a lot of R&D dollars which may not be recouped with a PS3 release alone? More than that, history points to a version of Metal Gear Solid 2 making its way across to the original Xbox, so it wouldn't be a big leap to see number four from day one, or perhaps after a short window of exclusivity.

Nintendo:

Wii-to-DS Connectivity Demonstrated
Percentage Chance: 95%

It's been hinted at, and we think this is the year it comes to the fore - DS-to-Wii connectivity. And the game to demonstrate it? Animal Crossing, or a new Mii-related multiplayer spin-off that can be played online, via DS or Wii, much like Microsoft's Live Anywhere.

Kojima would be racking up the cash so he doesn't care as much as we would like it to care.

Might wanna knock off the percentage there. I think Kojima wants to be remembered with MGS4 for the PS3 in its early stage.

Other Konami teams, he said, were able to get their hands on the Xbox 360 tools before him. It's his philosophy that he wants to be first, not second on the early development for a system, which is why he chose PS3.

Oh man, I'm gonna have fun with my wii.
There has to be at least a few months of exclusivity on the PS3 though, or else it doesn't make sense. Snake is like Nintendo's Mario to Sony. Silly Sony, they should have gotten konami to keep this multi-platform release news Secret! It's important that people believe PS3's the only way to get MGS4. Now selling the ps3 will stay just as difficult as it is (without a price DRrrrrrrOP!)

And its like the price cut for the ps3 already flooding everywhere, and its not even been announce at E3. this should be kept as a rumor, Xbox has as much of a chance getting this game as ps3 getting halo.

There IS no news, because there is NO evidence or confirmation from the development team that MGS4 WILL be multiplatform.

If Kojima would've been in this for the money, MGS3 would've been on PS2, AND 360 and Subsistence would've been superb on the 360 as well, but they WEREN'T on the 360, were they? No, they weren't.

You ask me, why wasn't it done? I think Hideo's more interested in recognition above all, just look at all the awards the MGS series has recieved on the PlayStation systems. I mean, let's face it, for the media, the PS3's drowing, and it's ONLY savior is MGS4, what better way to make a historical mark in the gaming industry by showing off a young console's power. SCE is basically at Kojima Production's palm right now.

i agree but the price seems clear cut from this price cut
      reading

      quote
GameDaily has confirmed with "a merchandising manager at one of the world's biggest retailers" that the 60 GB version of the PS3 will indeed drop to $499, starting on July 12, one day after Sony's E3 press conference. GameDaily also reports that the new price is indeed indicative a retail-wide price drop, not a Circuit City specific sale, as a handful of speculators have posited.

I doubt they will give release dates for Mario and Smash. That just isn't Nintendo's style. I doubt we will know the date until August, at the earliest for either game.

I hope that Metal Gear Solid 4 doesn't go onto the 360. Its always been a Sony exclusive, except for The Twin Snakes, and I think that it should stay that way.
It shouldn't just hop to other consoles just because it can ...

I just think all the news and hype about it going to the 360 will make them give in, so I'll just keep on making my fanboy comments and hopefully I'll get lucky and MGS4 will come to the good side.

Be quite, they have as much chance of getting this as sony is getting halo.

The good side, what the **** you on about Jason. The only reason he would do this is to increase the amount of gamers onto the game (though it is a bit late, being MGS is quite a long and hard story to follow) and to rake in a bit of cash, nothing about coming to " the good side " as you put it xD..

But to be honest I would like to see them on the 360 never the less as it will increase the popularity of the game and more fans will become part of the game and have to get the older games ^_________________^

PS3 really needs MGS4 to stay exclusive, and to be a brilliant game. That, along with FF13, are the PS3's high profile series right now, if Sony loses them, PS3 may never take off.

Read the MGS4 thing... It can run on the 360, anything can run on a console doesn't mean it will look good or play good.

Let's face it. The production of this game is costing alot of money for Kojima; and a PS3 release alone wouldn't justify the cost. If this game gets released on both consoles, you open the market up to the 10+ million people who own 360's. This would rake in alot more cash for Kojima.

Also, for the person who doubted release dates for Galaxy and Brawl. It will happen. I mean, when else would Nintendo tell us the release dates? They're not just going to come out of nowhere and tell us in August. They would rather tell us during a big event, such as E3.

Again, if money was really the case, MGS3 AND Subsistence should've been out for the 360. Especially Subsistence which was the more superior game, it would've been nearly perfect on Xbox Live, wouldn't it? MGS3 was criticized because of it's low frame rates, again, this would've run a lot better on the 360, BUT it is NOT on the 360.

The decisions made for MGS exclusivity were not logical anyways, and why should we apply economic logic now when they didn't do it before?

Just like they did for Wii. Wait, they announced that in October, about a month and a half before it was actually out.

It seems a lot more Nintendoish to hold back the dates for at least one if not both of the games until August or so, when the other big conference's are going on.

Ah, you didn't understand my point at all.

Developing for the PS3 costs ALOT more then developing for the PS2. Especially if you're going to create a high quality game like MGS4.

The reason why you didn't see MGS3 on the Xbox 360 was because the cost of developing for the PS2 is fairly low, so even if the game didn't sell so well, Kojima would still make a profit. Not to mention that the PS2 fanbase is ALOT larger then the PS3 and Xbox 360 fanbase combined. Kojima didn't need to expose MGS3 to the Xbox fans because he already had 100+ million PS2 users.

Now, for MGS4, the cost of development is very high. To make things even worse, the PS3 hasn't been selling as well as it should. There are only about 3 or 4 million PS3 owners in the world right now. So why spend all that money making a high quality game like MGS4 and only release to the 3 million PS3 owners? He would make alot more money releasing it to the 10 million 360 owners as well. 13 million > 3 million.

    See my point now?

Again, why not do it??? There's no reason why he wouldn't have done it, if it wasn't for the money. MGS3 would've run like a dream on the 360, AND why not release a copy of Subsistence like Substance was released on the Xbox. It would've certainly introduced a lot of people into the series, seeing as MGS3 is acclaimed as one of the best MGS games of the series, and Subsistence was awarded "Best PS2 Online game".

    And like Hideo said:

It's like what they did with Devil May Cry. It'll only increase their profit, there's really nothing for them to lose. I'm sure most people who have an Xbox are aware of the great MGS games...it'll just hurt the PS3, because then I wouldn't need one, heh.

what, so this article gets accepted but the one I posted with e3 predictions doesn't because they are predictions?
