Been wondering why so many games don't allow you and a friend to play online while doing local split-screen? Me too. That won't be an issue with ModNation Racers though as the game supports local 4-player split-screen and allows you and a friend to take the game online in 2-player split-screen.

Split-screen gaming has been a sore point for many gamers this console generation. Some games support split-screen, some don't when it makes sense that they should, and some limit your ability to do split-screen at all online. Sony's upcoming kart racer, ModNation Racers, appears to be on the right track by going all out with split-screen support.
