New Persona to Begin Development

A new Persona game is about to start development soon with some improvements. Hopefully one of those improvements includes bringing it over to the next generation.

“We Are Preparing To Start Work On The Next Persona”

Katsura Hashino, Director of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4, said in a Dengeki PlayStation interview.

Rumors of Persona 5 have been swirling since last year. One article even mentioned Shoji Meguro as the game’s producer even though it has not been officially announced by Atlus.

In the column, Hashino also said he wants to add elements expected of the series and change things within those constraints. When Hashino joined the Persona 3 team he added the dating sim-esque social links.

    As pumped as I am to hear this...I was kind of hoping that they'd be farther along at this point.

    Oh well, at least it's coming for sure.

    I wonder what will be the catalyst for evil this time. Persona 3 had the full moon, and 4 was about rain and fog.
