You said it would definitely sell. He's saying not enough people have iPhones that it would sell enough.

          Stop being stupid.

I honestly just want them to do it so the fans will shut up about it.

They won't of course, they'll be too busy complaining how shit it is compared to the original and how SE ruined it.

Explore the possibility? Does it take the entire FF fandom to campaign on their doorstep or something? A HD FFVII would undoubtedly sell by the truckload - at this point it could only be an ideal business decision.

It's not as if they're unfamiliar with remakes.

    FinalFantasyFanaticc Mar 27, 10
Bring it out on PS3 and 360 = Instant market hit, would sell by the truckload and would DECIMATE MW2's sales. Possibly be the best selling game ever.

They've been "exploring a FFVII remake" for 4 frakking years now. Just get on with it.

Would you just stop with the flirting and either get on with it or say it's not gonna happen; ffs, there's being coy and then there's just taking the piss.

I'd buy this game in a heartbeat. VII was amazing, the only thing I hated was how crappy the graphics were. Of course for their time they're amazing, but nowadays, it's just going to need a nice change. especially with seeing how the graphics look on the PSP with Crisis Core, and the PS3 with XIII. It would be even more breathtaking then XIII. Imagine how hard it would be to find a copy though, it would be so high in demand. They really have no disadvantages to this.

An FFVII remake would sell more than both FFXIII version's combined.

Then add in a port to the 360 and you're *bleep*ing set for life.

and voice acting. A remake would sell like hotcakes, from a business standpoint, it would be foolish not to do a remake when huge profits are guaranteed.

What sorta stupid question is that?

        MusiKon* Mar 29, 10
A logical one. Many people want the remake to be exactly like the old one. Which is already there.

Normally, when a developer remakes a game, they go all out with new/revised content. Meaning we'd be seeing new scripts, new locations, new gameplay features, etc etc.

However, going by how the fans act, if they add anything more than new graphics (not even fixing old glitches & typos), Square Enix would get burned down to the ground.

So, do you really want a remake bad enough to shut a company down?

          Hideo1 Mar 29, 10
You're under some delusion that anyone who wants this remake is a fanboy/girl. This is why your argument is invalid.

          Rabla Apr 1, 10
          But they ARE all Fanboys/Girls.

You want to play the game, then Play it.
We dont NEED a Remake, you WANT a remake.

Methinks you're mistaking "fanboy" with "avid fan."

There's nothing fanboyish about wanting a remake of a well-loved game.

          quote Rabla
We dont NEED a Remake, you WANT a remake.
          Thanks Captain Obvious.

Nobody is suggesting that our very livelihoods are resting on Square doing a remake of FFVII. If they don't then fine, we'll live and go play other games. You know, like we've always done?

What is being said is that a FFVII remake would likely sell tons and that most here do indeed WANT a remake.
        • 1
          Hideo1 Apr 5, 10
You're damn right I WANT a remake. I never said I NEED a remake, so what orifice of yours are you pulling that assumption out of Rabla?

I really only have one thing to say to SE. SHUT THE *bleep* UP! Either make the game, or just shut up, I am sick and tired of this, just shut up!

Remake it with voice acting, better graphics, maybe a new dynamic version of the old battle system (As in to incorporate some of the FFVII: AC action) and you're set.

    reaver11 Apr 1, 10
I just hope that if its done, that the voice acting doesn't suck. I have a problem with bad/annoying voice acting.
    • 0
      Miss Razz Apr 1, 10
They'll probably use the voice actors from Advent Children and Crisis Core... which is a little hit and miss.

        reaver11 Apr 3, 10
If thats the case I'd take the Japanese voices. I have yet to watch the movie in english and I haven't played CC.'

Only reason I bring this up is because I'm finding some of the voices in FFXIII a little annoying sometimes.

        • 0

Actually Vanille. Snow is annoying, just not his voice.

          Miss Razz Apr 5, 10
At least Yuffie's voice isn't quite as annoying in comparison to Vanille's. The remake's got that going for it. XD
