Ragnarok Online DS will not be MMO

A lot of fans of the PC version were hyped when Ragnarok Online was announced for the DS. Think about it, the potential of MMO on a handheld. Alas, GungHo announced in their site that the handheld version of the game will not be MMO...

The recently announced title for DS, Ragnarok Online DS, has been confirmed by the developers, GungHo, not to be a MMO. Instead the game will be a standalone Action RPG based on the series. The game will still use the Wi-Fi functions of the DS but, at the moment, exactly how is not known.

    That's a shame. An MMO on the DS would be great! It can kill time, like my travelling time, and the replay value is quite high. Bad move for Ragnarok developers, imo.
