According to producer Shinji Hashimoto, the idea of bringing Final Fantasy IX to the Playstation Network got plenty of approvals when the subject was brought up during a recent Square Enix board meeting.

    YES!!! This is the only FF I don't have a copy of,and now I won't have to worry about buying a physical copy that doesn't work

      An early warning system would be the Japanese PSN. Square releases their games there, then usually brings them out elsewhere months later. FF9 on PSN was a no brainer after 7, Tactics, and 8, but the one i'm really really really really (repeat that a hundred more times) looking forward to is Xenogears, the greatest RPG of all time, hands down. Face down too while you're at it.

      Matter of fact, just have somebody body slam you. :3

      Also, they need to hurry up and release Einheinder and the Bushido Blade games stateside. Do want. And of course the Parasite Eve games. Pretty much everything from Square's Golden and age.
