Playstation Insider writes about the new hack that enables gamers who chose not to update to 3.21 firmware to still be able to sign onto the Playstation network as usual.

Playstation Insider:

"Pissed off at the removal of Other OS and don't want to downgrade..err, upgrade to 3.21? This new bypass may be in your interest."

Not sure if they are hacking it or saying they can hack it...

Hacking the shit out of it? One person claimed he had the PS3 hacked though he's drifted off again, another claimed he could bypass the firmware updates... So both are claiming they can hack it, but no one is actually posting proof, so far the PS3 is still 100% hack proof and will remain that way until one of these geeks actually shows us the hack.

thought it what I thought was happening, no one has actually hacked the PS3 yet. Geohot thinks he is cool living in his mom's basement thinking he can hack the PS3. I want to see him fail so badly and have everyone laugh at him.

Apparently, those who use this hack won't be able to use the PS Store, making this pretty useless.

I think it is pathetic hacking the PS3 just to keep a feature they probably don't use.

I thought it was bogus timing that they made the update live on April Fools, even though it's a legitimate update.

Did you guys not watch the video? They've managed to get around the inability to sign into the Playstation Network, and thus the Playstation Store. So they can buy things from the store as normal, the only problem that I foresee is when a game is released that requires the update, not too sure they can stop that since that checks done by the game and not an online check...
